ULIVIERI FABRIZIO
Professor of Italian Literature

e-mail:

Prof. Fabrizio Ulivieri

Fabrizio Ulivieri was born on February 10th, 1956, in Montelupo, Fiorentino. For his entire life he was driven by the impossibility to be what in reality he wanted to be until the day he definitely took consciousness that he needed a redemption. That day came when he met a Magician from Korea. From that encounter came the tale, THE MAGICIAN FROM GOXIAN. New energy and impulse arose from his regenerated soul, completely inert up to then and injuriously dazzled from a lost life under the powerful agency of a    Maya veil. Originally trained in philosophy Fabrizio Ulivieri now works as a Brand Ambassador & Sense Provider for Istituto Europeo. He has realized that the real essence of contemporary philosophy can be expressed in every day life and by aiding to people’s basic needs. That's the sense of the new marketing's philosophy whose inner aim is to explain how to cope with a world which never cease to fluctuate around you and constantly undermines any attempt to classify and categorize trends and changes. He has published some linguistic articles in the prestigious Journal Studi di grammatica Italiana, printed by the Accademia della Crusca, and in the German Zeitschrif t für italienische Sprache und Literatur. He has also published many tales and articles online as well. He was an appreciated collaborator for www.ilciclismo.it for which he wrote stories and satiric reports about cycling. He renounced the collaboration when Matteo (the Director) his inspirational mentor left the online magazine. Now Fabrizio Ulivieri avoids the cycling world because to this day he is disgusted with the hypocrisy of those who lay plots  and those who act naïve on the subject. Recently published two books: L'Eterno Ritorno, Akkuaria, and Albert Richter un'aquila tra le svastiche. Il ciclismo tedesco tra nazismo ed esoterismo (1919 – 1939), Bradipolibri. He is now an esteemed film critic for the online magazine www.ilpolitico.it and enthusiast promoter of his personal blog: http://milanprincipe.blogspot.com

ZDENKA MARCHI

Professor of Italian Literature

e-mail:

Prof.ssa Zdenka Marchi

Zdenka completed her secondary studies in Latin and Greek, noble ancestors of the Italian language, at Florence’s Liceo Classico Michelangelo, where she was awarded her diploma in 1994. She then chose the Faculty of Languages and Letters at the University of Florence where she discovered her passion for literary philology. After obtaining her degree in 1998, she spent three semesters in Stuttgart Universitaet in Germany where she lived in direct contact with diverse cultures and where she developed her enthusiasm for teaching.
The German Ministry of Education appointed her to a post as an Italian language assistance at the Ruprecht Gymnasyum di Neustadt an der Weinstrasse (Heidelberg, Germany).
At the lectern, Zdenka discovered her true talent and received much praise from her supervisors. She passed the Ditals (Didattica dell’insegnamento della lingua italiana) exam at the Università di Siena with the highest marks; she also received the highest marks for her grammar examination at the University of Florence. She was placed on the Stuttgart ministry classification list, where she taught Italian for several months in 2009. Once back in Italy, Zdenka was given a full-time position on the academic staff of the Istituto Europeo where she teaches Italian and history, in addition to giving a very successful monthly lecture entitled “Dante and his Times”.

ILARIA MELONI

Professor of Italian For Tourism

e-mail:

Prof.ssa Ilaria Meloni

Languages had always been a personal interest of Ilaria’s, even before teaching language became her profession. She began her language studies at the Liceo Linguistico Pascoli before continuing at the Institut Francais.
It was this initial passion that led Ilaria to pursue a degree in Intercultural Studies, which was followed by various experiences in the field of intercultural education for young immigrant students in the Florence area. Her passion for languages later took her to Madrid where she collaborated with various language schools and with the Erasmus program. In Madrid, Ilaria was part of a team at a linguistic consulting agency where she taught individuals and groups of managers of notable companies with commercial relations with Italy.
Ilaria’s experience abroad was enriching and stimulating—it definitely left its mark on her professional path, which is why she decided to dedicate herself to teaching Italian to foreigners at various schools in the Pisa and Florence area until she was hired to be a full-time instructor at the Istituto Europeo.
